Blog blocked for Spam.
Published by BloggerMom on Dec 11, 2007 at 5:39 PMFor whatever reason...One fine day I found out that my blog was blocked by Blogger since it was considered a spam blog and blogger wanted to discourage spam linking as well. So I had to send them an unlock request...not once but twice. Somebody (as in a living human being) was supposed to review it and then decide if it was spam or not. Since I can now access it, I guess, someone did review it and decided that this blog wasn't spam indeed.
Looking for help, I found that this has happened to several other innocent, unsuspecting bloggers as well. Alas, I am not alone in my agony.

they treat your comment as spam probably you had commented few words. this is why they treat it as a spam
Why would your blog be flagged for spamming? Someone at Blogger.com needs to start investigating this problem.

Glad that you got your blog back. That sucks that you were blocked in the first place though.
I completely agree with you. It is a real pain when a blog is blocked by someone thinking its a spam. Moreover it is very painful for the blogger. Its good that you have got your blog back and I hope that this does not happen in future. Best of luck.
that is one of the main reasons I switched away from Blogger. It went haywire to many times and I couldn't deal with it anymore.
I don't know much about blogs yet but I did try to do a Blogspot site and the same thing happened to me...I did not have one single ad on it. I Guess I better just keep on reading and learning and growing with it cuz the web ain't stopping real soon.

You might consider switching over to wordpress. It's way better and best of all you'll never be banned again ;)

I guess it has to be presented as a colective demand of a better service an previous verification before they block blogs.
I think, to be honest, it should be up to you which content you allow in your blogs and which you don´t. UNLESS it´s one of bloggers rules, in which case, they were maybe quite right.

This is why I decided to avoid the whole blogger.com thing as a whole. When I got my blog started I made one post on blogspot then found out I could use wordpress, host it on my own site, and have complete control over it.
Yeah, it costs me money to host the site, but I wanted my own domain anyway so it was a win/win.
Sorry to hear about your troubles - hopefully it doesn't continue to happen, and if it does..consider doing as I've done?

I'm glad that your blog was re-opened as such. There's a few mistakes happening at the minute in the blogging world, askimet blocking the wrong sites and saying that non-spam comments are spam!

Google is BIG and uses a lot of automation. Automation is not exact but they probably catch a lot of would be spammers and put them out of commission with their 'algos'.
Still it's frustrating to be a victim of a filter when you're running an honest blog.
To be safe maybe you could put a little time into learning WP to and transfer your blog to that or a similar platform with paid hosting.
Ya I agree with you that some spammers make your blog mess by any thing write in commenting.

It happened to me too. Once they have made their minds, its difficult to explain them that its not a spam.. It takes pretty enough time in this procedure

All spam detectors are automated and they always flag humans as bots and bots are always finally tuned so the bots register as humans. This is why spam is so bad.
Oh and April 11, 2011 is when Skynet declares war on the human race if you watch Sarah Connor Chroncles and you should be watching the show.
Akismet also completely sucks. It's a bad system that falsely blacklists stuff.

well thanks to all of the spammers out there, more blogs are having this happen to them all the time. The good guys get hurt by the friendly fire too sometimes.
I think, this is because someone is reporting some blogger blogs being spammy.

definately i also agree with simon actually i thihnk a dofollow blog helps us increase our knowledge as one have to fully read each n every comment so that he can give appropriate comment related with the blog,and therefore by doin this he comes across many new websites n opinions or ideas given by the other commenters,so infact n a way dofollow are beneficial n lot of ways..m i ryt..hope so
