We can use that button to bookmark a site/page and save it to the desktop, laptop etc; so that we can refer it at a later time. This kind of bookmarking is private in nature and limited to only those who use that particular computer. Social bookmarking take bookmarking to an entirely different level and lets you save or bookmark a site/page etc; publicly...that way you can access them from anywhere, anytime and not necessarily your computer. Others who are looking for similar information tht you may have already bookmarked can see your bookmarks and vice versa. Such bookmarking helps boost traffic, especially when you want more people to stop by
