Tag Clouds
Published by BloggerMom on Nov 1, 2007 at 3:30 PMSee those nice little tag clouds on blogs and websites...with words of all shapes and sizes floating around? You can get one too. Here's how:
Phydeaux3 has a designed a detailed hack that goes with your blogger template. He also provides instructions on how to customize it. Make sure you back up the original template. To read more about setting up this hack, click here.
If you don't have the patience to go through the above hack or are least inclined to get your hands dirty in modifying the HTML stuff...fear not...you can always try
TAGCLOUD. Just tell Tagcloud the kind of cloud you want, take the code and just add it as a page element.
And if you have your mind set on monetizing the blog...here's one tagcloud you can monetize- AdsClick. (Like the one I am presently trying on my blog)They promise a whopping 80% share of the revenue and you can:
Choose the automatically set the best performing key words or manually configure the one's
you want.
Control your text ad display with design and filtering options
Use one account for multiple text ad formats - IAB, RSS, Tag Clouds, Inline Text Links.
Access detailed reporting and earnings simulation
Labels: label cloud, tag cloud, tags

Thank you for the link. I will make sure to visit the the page and see if that works for us.
Appreciate it, it can seem simple to say that you should backup but the times I've forgotten to do it are the times everything has gone wrong and it isn't fun.
All the information will help for sure! Thanks
Thanks for the tip.
It will surely help me. :)
do they really share the 80% of revenue, its amazing.
I agree with some of the other comments, that tag clouds look pretty dorky on websites. They seem more like ‘keyword’ weighting tactic instead of helping any human to actually navigate anything. Compared to conventional navigation patterns tag clouds don’t necessarily offer a more convenient and intuitive navigation. However, used properly, they can provide visitors with an instant illustration of the main topics, giving a very specific and precise orientation of the site’s content. Since human beings tend to think in concepts and models, it’s easier to get an idea of presented content.
Its so benefitive and helpful article. and I think that tag clouds look pretty dorky on websites. They seem more like ‘keyword’ weighting tactic instead of helping any human to actually navigate anything.
